There are 4 elements to lead a successful and passionate career based on my personal experience:
You are good at it
You enjoy doing it
You are getting recognition (financially or socially)
You make a positive impact in the world and make a difference in people's lives
Can the first two elements be enough? Could playing video games be a passionate career? Of course not as you are neither making any positive impact in the world nor getting paid or recognized for playing video games. Now, how can one find what is he or she passionate about that could become their career. Some are very lucky to know it at a very age. For example, Serena Williams knew it the day he picked up a tennis racquet. Warren Buffet knew it at a young age when he was reading investment books in his dad's office. But for most of us, it's not about finding your passion but discovering your passion. It’s a life long journey.
